On a darker note, Congress is at it again. Currently there is a bill in the Senate that if passed, would mean the end of the right to own most of the snakes we currently enjoy keeping.

Thank you to everyone who joins in. While this bill is aimed at snakes, it is taking an end run around accepted procedures for adding injurious non-native species to the Lacey Act. Should this precedent occur, it will make it very easy for Congress to do it again in the future, with any species they deem to be a nuisance.
